Rockport’s tourism businesses move to re-open

Small businesses are the economic engines of Texas communities.

Ninety percent of Rockport-Fulton’s economy depends on tourism, yet sixty-five percent of businesses in the area have not yet been able to put up their “open” signs. As president of the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Diane Probst wants small businesses to access financial capital and other assistance to re-open and thrive.

With help from the Rebuild Texas Fund, small businesses are getting the grants and business loans they need to make vital repairs, pay staff, and open their doors once again.
