Alice is a resident of Refugio County whose home was destroyed as a result of Hurricane Harvey. After she and her granddaughter could return home after the storm subsided, they found their home destroyed by water and mold. Unfortunately, it was beyond repair.
While Alice and her granddaughter lived in a nearby trailer, Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity and its team of volunteers stepped in, completely rebuilding their house so they could go home again.
Hear Alice share their story, and what it means for them to be back home.
